Finished work early enough to walk the dog in the daylight. Managed to grab some beer on the way home. Mrs Basil had been for Afternoon tea with my sister. I didn’t want to let the salmon go to waste… Which was a mistake because I don’t like salmon and now I feel a bit ick.

Steamed the floors this morning in an effort to rid the house of the smell of fish. Starting to think last nights salmon was not fit for consumption. Went and picked up some compost, dug over the veg bed and planted lots of onions and garlic.

Went into Newcastle with Mrs Basil after picking her up from church. She was on a bit of a recce for an upcoming shoot, looking for murals around the city centre. Was an excuse for a breakfast bao lunch and I needed some gloves in preparation for the coming week of sub zero dog walks.
