Mrs Basil in London today at BBC. She was told her radio show last year was a ratings hit. I walked the dog for almost 3 hours total so I could abandon her and go to the pub and get a burger.

A much more relaxed day today, thankfully. I even finished work slightly early. Wrote a blog this evening for the February Indieweb carnival “Digital Relationships”. I used it as an excuse to reminisce about Identica and then realised how unfinished my site still is. Now I’m starring at a watch on eBay that I shouldn’t buy.

Long stint in the field with the dog after work. Mrs Basil had a comp ticket for the theatre so had a few hours to myself. New watch strap arrived for my Alpinist, the one it came with is crazy uncomfortable.

A day with the dog, since Mrs Basil had some filming to do this afternoon. Decided to finish work at half 4 and take Scout out early to get her plenty of exercise before it got dark. Mostly in the hope she’d settle down early in the evening, it did not work. Mrs Basil watched Man Utd limp through the FA cup.

Walked the dog for 3 hours at lunch. Partly because Mrs Basil wanted to steam clean the house, partly because we had plans this evening and needed the dog to be tired. This evening we went out for a drink and a meal in Ouseburn. My food was a let down but it was a nice evening.

Work got a bit awkward today. The useless bloke on the team got a bit salty with another dev’s code review. This did not go down well and led to an uncomfortable exchange, what fun. Torrential rain since mid afternoon made for an extremely soggy dog walk.
