Easier day at work. Although I have been tasked with learning powerBI so that I can train the rest of the company on powerBI… Which is a bit terrifying. Went to the pub after the evening dog walk as a friends sister was visiting from Australia.

Work got incredibly busy today and I was on dog duty so I felt really guilty that I could only really walk her for half an hour at lunch and the same again after work. Good chance it will be more of the same tomorrow. Although I am having a night out in Ouseburn.

Miserable day of drizzle. I walked the dog at lunchtime but she really wasn’t into it at all. Mrs Basil is still unwell and I convinced her to have an afternoon nap after she’d spent over an hour on a video call trying to walk her parents through buying train tickets.

Night out in Ouseburn with old work mates from Previous Employer Inc. Feel like I was looking forward to it so much it couldn’t have lived up to the hype. Anyway, it was a pleasant evening after a tough week.

Mrs Basil still unwell. I walked the dog in the park for 2 hours. Then walked to the supermarket and got picked up when I was done. Legs were killing me after 4 hours on my feet. Had a very lazy evening watching TV. Made a poorly executed carbonara for dinner.

Long dog walk in the park this morning / lunchtime while Mrs Basil was out filming for work. Absolutely knackered. Spent the rest of the day fighting to stay awake. I should have just had a nap.
