Very frustrating work day. After a huge setback in the morning I might have just got enough done. Big day tomorrow. New case and wallet arrived for my phone.

Boring day. Yet more rain. Dog is getting even more annoyed with the weather than me, I think. Watched England limp into the Euros final… A semi and quarter final at world cups and 2 Euro finals… Kids today don’t know they’re born…. We had scraps.

Just about got my work done by the deadline. Almost can’t believe it. Specs, Risk Assessments, 8 test scripts, all while dealing with an idiot colleague. Started transferring over to my pixel 8. Always a pain in the arse.

Shit hit the fan at work and I couldn’t fix it. Had call the lead developer in from his holiday, which sucked.

Did pretty much sod all today. Mrs Basil took the dog out early for a long, pre heatwave walk. We got a takeaway seafood boil for dinner from the fishmongers. It was good, but messy. Scout was very yappy and annoying all evening.

Start of a long weekend on the Northumberland coast. It was fairly pleasant weather, the rest of the weekend is going to be a washout. We are staying in an Airbnb which has pros and cons but it’s much less stressful for the dog I think. Stopped off at Whitley Bay on the drive up the road and had a sausage, egg, and hash brown bao bun. Divine.
