It was bitterly cold today. Officially 3 degrees but the wind was ice. I was standing in the field with the dog after work and my nipple’s started to hurt. Went to the pub for an hour to warm up. The dogs paw seems to be fine now but she’s being excessively whiney today.

Mrs Basil was back at the office today and took the dog. I had the day off, so almost complete peace and quiet. Aside from some neighbour DIY. Did almost nothing all day. Hung up some picture frames and worked on this site, which I think is about done. Most importantly, I picked the domain name.

Insane temperature swing today. Well into double figures. Didn’t get much sleep between stomach aches and the dog being very unsettled. She puked first thing this morning. Mrs Basil is on the late train home from London after wrapping her feature film shoot.

Back to work after a long weekend. Didn’t sleep well last night because Mrs Basil didn’t sleep well last night - lingering muscle pains. Scout had a checkup at the vet which went fine, she was far less terrified than previous visits according to Mrs Basil. After weighing in at 17kg I spent the rest of the day making fun of the Hekin’ Chonker.

Spent a chunk of time at work setting up obsidian, which was a bit naugty, but it was fun. Mrs Basil went to a cocktail bar for 5 hours and got about as drunk as I’ve ever seen her. Had to go and collect her.

Made a last moment decision to schlep off from work early to go for a a hair cut. Turns out it was 10 months since my last one. Fell in The Town Mouse for a pint on the way home. The bus journey back was pretty awful. Stuck in a traffic jam for an hour with a mass of teenagers and a drunk. Of course they ended up clashing with each other.
