I was at work today but didn’t do much. I was essentially on call and didn’t feel like doing anything extra after having to work on boxing day. Went out together for a walk after lunch then had a lazy evening.

Went for a trip to Cresswell beach and it was a rare success in that we stopped the dog drinking sea water and puking. I spent the evening in Darlington for a mates 40th. Train home was delayed because a cow had been hit by a train and the late night food has given me awful stomach pains.

Feeling pretty rough today. Sore stomach and lack of sleep. Mrs Basil took the dog walking duties and we did a food shop. Rest of the day was trying to figure out if the washing machine was broken, turns out the drain pipe was partially blocked with a button.
