Didn’t sleep well. Up late with a headache. Kept waking up because I was too hot. Mrs Basil took the dog for a walk and I was pulled into a work emergency for an hour or so, which was a delight. Tried my new stylus on my kobo reader… I don’t think it’s gonna be for me.

I was at work today but didn’t do much. I was essentially on call and didn’t feel like doing anything extra after having to work on boxing day. Went out together for a walk after lunch then had a lazy evening.

Went for a trip to Cresswell beach and it was a rare success in that we stopped the dog drinking sea water and puking. I spent the evening in Darlington for a mates 40th. Train home was delayed because a cow had been hit by a train and the late night food has given me awful stomach pains.
