Spent the evening (while Mrs Basil was watching the football) trying to get Readeck and FreshRSS installed on my Digital Ocean VM. It’s late and I took some shortcuts but it all seems to be working. Have been using my laptop heavily since 5pm, it’s now 1am and the battery is at 24%. Magic.

Took the afternoon off and walked/bussed to the river with a dog club friend and had a few pints in the Free Trade. Mrs Basil had a rough day and is feeling a bit down. Scout is struggling with the fireworks.

Another afternoon off work. Spent most of it walking the dog unfortunately. Finally decided on which new microwave to get. I don’t know why I take new purchases so fucking seriously. It’s mostly fun but sometimes I wish I could make my brain realise that it really doesn’t matter.
