Annoying day at work. Went out with Mrs Basil after work to walk the dog, who barked so much I started to get a headache. Went for a pint on the way home with another dog walker we bumped into.

Decent day at work did plenty of refactoring on the automated tests and feel a little better about them. Once again, it pissed it down all day, which made dealing with the dog even more of a delight than usual. Mrs Basil gets home from her work trip tomorrow.

Mrs Basil had to work today so I took the dog for a 3 hour hike in the morning so that the rest of the day would be a pleasant affair. It did not work, save for the frustratingly short time she was asleep, the dog was an unsettled annoying fucker. I’ve gone to bed annoyed and frustrated with an accompanying headache.

Friday off (sort of… Had to run a test for a few hours in the afternoon). Took Scout to the park at lunchtime, which was a mistake. It was the borough council school fun run, so the park was crawling with children. Mrs Basil returned from her Glasgow trip and it was nice enough to sit in the garden for a while this evening.

Dog still weird and unsettled this morning. Mrs Basil took her on a group walk with some friends in the afternoon while I went to chill out in the pub. The walk seems to have done the trick.

Ok day as far as the weather goes. A couple of dog walks and a trip to the supermarket. Mrs Basil was happy because Man It’s beat Man City in the FA cup final. Early start tomorrow. 7am train to London for a family reunion. What I would give to wake up and it be Monday.
