Got almost all my most important tasks done today… But still struggling to catch up. Another nice sunny day, made the most of it by going to the pub after workand hung out with some of the locals. I have the dog tomorrow.

A fairly innocuous day back at work, a few annoying meetings, a bit of progress here and there. I walked Scout when she got home, since Mrs Basil had to pack for her trip to Glasgow tomorrow.

Started work to a message about a problem. Spent the whole sodding day working on it. Literally. Got nothing else done. Had the dog today and Mrs Basil had an evening event in Newcastle so I took the dog to the Free Trade Inn while we waited for her to be done.

Mrs Basil left for Glasgow this morning. Pouring with rain all day. Literally none stop. Had to drag the dog out for a piss at lunchtime. Dragged her out for her evening walk and as usual, as soon as she gets to a wet field, she doesn’t want to leave. Took her to the pub to dry off before heading home.

Annoying day at work. Went out with Mrs Basil after work to walk the dog, who barked so much I started to get a headache. Went for a pint on the way home with another dog walker we bumped into.

Decent day at work did plenty of refactoring on the automated tests and feel a little better about them. Once again, it pissed it down all day, which made dealing with the dog even more of a delight than usual. Mrs Basil gets home from her work trip tomorrow.
