Got up this morning and had a funny turn. Felt really unsteady and nauseated. Then Mrs Basil came to say bye, and asked why I was so grey. I seemed to be over it by the afternoon. Went to a dog club gathering for a few beers and then made Cevapi for dinner to remember a bit of the holiday.

Nine year anniversary today. Mrs Basil and I went up to one of the nice restaurants in the village. Unlike previous visits, the food was a bit disappointing and service a bit meh, but no matter it was a nice evening.

Beautiful sunny Saturday. Cleaned the kitchen, went to the shops for lunch and dinner, and watered the garden. Aside from that, I enjoyed the sunshine and drank beer.

Another Friday off work. Except for a small hiccup where I had to log on and do something for an hour. Took the dog to the park then went to the pub with some dog club folks. Our evening plan for tomorrow is scuppered, I didn’t think I’d need to book, but turns out I was wrong.

The sun disappeared today. Grey skies and a trip the the supermarket. Would have been an uneventful day if the boiler hadn’t, once again, broken. We decided to swallow the cost and get a new one. £2,500. Urgh. Installation is set for Tuesday, so two days of cold showers.

Very nice weather today and wanted to go for a family dog walk. To avoid the crowds we headed inland to Hexham. A 3 hour loop and only saw 2 other humans. Lots of paddling and splashing in various streams. Evening out in Newcastle at a Carribbean restaurant. Mrs Basil enjoyed herself. I thought it was ok.
