A last morning in Dubrovnik. Packed and checked out. Some shopping, some postcards. Then the long journey home. Ten hours; door to door. Misplaced my bank card in Manchester Airport and whoever found it used it to buy something which was annoying, but the Barclays app is good and I could cancel the card as soon as I got the unexpected notification.

Back to work. Fairly quiet day. A few awkward questions but nothing too taxing. Rained all day, so both dog walks were fun. The dog never wants to walk in the rain until she gets to a field and then she’s perfectly content. Mrs Basil had a working dinner so I tried a local burger place for the first time, it was pretty naff.

Mrs Basil went off to work this morning positively livid that I’m not back at work until Monday. Did the usual post holiday boring shit. Unpacked, washed clothes, watered plants. Picked up the dog at 5pm who gave me a telling off. Mrs Basil has decided she is sleeping downstairs with the dog.

Very quiet day. Not much happened at work, not much happened after work. The mother stopped by for lunch and we sat in the garden. Mrs Basil walked the dog so had an easy evening. 9 year Anniversary tomorrow.

Got up this morning and had a funny turn. Felt really unsteady and nauseated. Then Mrs Basil came to say bye, and asked why I was so grey. I seemed to be over it by the afternoon. Went to a dog club gathering for a few beers and then made Cevapi for dinner to remember a bit of the holiday.

Nine year anniversary today. Mrs Basil and I went up to one of the nice restaurants in the village. Unlike previous visits, the food was a bit disappointing and service a bit meh, but no matter it was a nice evening.
