Crazy early start. Picked up from our hotel at 06:20. Headed to Perast and Kotor in Montenegro which were amazing. Then we went to Budva, which was mediocre and added far too much driving time to the day. Arrived back absolutely destroyed. Dragged ourselves up the hill and I had Cevapi for the first time and it was good, finally some food I enjoyed on this trip.

The end of a 3 day week feels like cheating. I’m sure the shift will hit the fan in some way before Tuesday. Another lovely sunny day. Another large turnout at dog club. Mrs Basil finished her large shoot in Northumberland.

A recovery day. Late breakfast and a walk around the harbour to the Red Museum (history of communism in Croatia). An afternoon lazing by the pool before heading into old town to a Bosnian restaurant which was tremendously good. Outrageously expensive by my standards, but utterly wonderful.

Day off for both of us. Mrs Basil took Scout to the beach where she drank sea water, and upon arriving back home, puked up in the well of the gearstick. Another mercifully beautiful day of sunshine. Trying to make the most of it before the rain returns.

Another day in Dubrovnik old town. Walked around the walls and went to a bunch of museums. Most of the museums are really frustrating due to a complete lack of context provided. Had a few drinks in a bar overlooking the Adriatic before heading back to the hotel.

Pretty warm Saturday. Dog was annoying all day. I put a coat of wood oil on the garden furniture, which was an awful job that I’d rather not repeat, and I took the cover off the BBQ. The horror. Went to the pub with some of dog club for the first time in an age, which was nice.
