Another dull day. Had a meeting with my boss where he asked if I’d be open to a promotion in which I manage the team project priorities and workload and potential line management. I told him, tentatively, yes. I may regret it.

A day “off” work. I went to Mrs Basil’s office to help do some DIY jobs, like dismantling and rebuilding some shelving that was looking a little wobbly. All of which scared the heck out of the dog. Fell into the Aldi middle aisle on the way home. Back to the bullshit tomorrow.

Snow this morning. Not heavy, but huge flakes. Dog walk in the rain after work. Dropped her back off home and went to the pub for a bit.

Mrs Basil was in Edinburgh kicking off a project with the BBC so I was dog dadding today. I decided to do reduced hours so had a fairly easy day. The levels of rain and mud are really starting to get on my nerves. Makes every dog walk such a pain.

My boss has had a pretty big promotion so some of the senior folk in our team are suddenly getting bombarded with a bunch of work that he was previously dealing with. It’s going to be quite full on for the foreseeable future. Haircut after work via the pub.

I’ve been keeping this up for a month so far. Just another 11 until it starts to show its benefits. The moderate wind today has caused some damage to my makeshift garden fence, hopefully it holds up a little longer.
