Miserable weather today. Spent as little of it as I could get away with outside with the dog. Mrs Basil had some bad news about some potential funding so she’s a little down.

Had a meeting with the outgoing CTO where he assured us thing’s he couldn’t possibly, like the direction his as yet unknown successor will want to take the department. Spent my day between documents and coding some ungodly report. Cancelled Spotify to try Tidal for a while, will see how that goes.

Freakishly good weather today. Took scout out for 6 hours. 4 in the park; 2 in the beer garden. Mrs Basil had to do some filming this afternoon, then did a 5k jog. We were all pretty knackered this evening.

An uneventful Friday. Went to work, walked the dog, made dinner, watched Leeds United. Mrs Basil accidentally washed the dog’s comfort toy that we got her when she was a few weeks old. Think the dog is freaked out that it smells clean.

Another freakishly warm day. Mrs Basil took the dog on an enormous hike in kielder while I cleaned the house. Mrs Basil’s friend came over at 7 and we went to the pub then got takeaway. They’re staying the night cos they’re visiting from London.

Mrs Basil took the dog out for a few hours this morning so I could clean the house with being harassed. Weather was dreary and wet all day so plans for the garden were shelved again. Has been a good weekend of results for Leeds United.
