It’s going to be a very busy week at work. Got sucked into a task today and accidentally worked until 18:30. Lots of exciting stuff - writing specifications; SOP impact assessments. All the good stuff. It does seem at least that summer has actually arrived.

Another day where more gets added to my to-do list than gets ticked off it. Went to the pub after work until I was collected by Mrs Basil and Scout. Mrs Basil sent a message to our dog walking group asking if anyone wanted to audition as an extra for her film, leading to much hilarity.

Spent the day agonising over a functional specification. Took far longer than it should and found problems I shouldn’t have found. In other news, I spent an insane amount of money and order an Ultimate Hacking Keyboard. I damn well better like it when it arrives next week.

Had a meeting with my boss about how I don’t have time to do my job. Went for a haircut after work and met a mate in the pub afterwards for a few pints. Takeaway burger on the way home. The dog got a bit neglected today.

Another dull day. Still nice weather though. Mrs Basil has been recording a comedy radio show for Radio Four so I’ve had the dog for a few days. She gets a bit crazy in the heat.
