Quiet Monday. Spent the day writing tests but got a little bit stuck towards the end of the day. Didn’t douch else besides cook dinner and watch the Euros. Mrs Basil had an early night because she’s getting up at 03:30 to go fly her drone.

Mrs Basil was up and off to work at half 3 this morning to film the sunrise with her drone. So I had the morning, lunch, and evening shift with the dog and had to cook dinner. Which as usual, left me feeling harassed. The rain departed in time for the evening walk. Small mercy.

Schlepped out of work early to head out to the Ouseburn to watch a gig. A few beers and some ageing rockers. Managed not to get too drunk for a school night.

Annoying work day that went on forever. Couldn’t walk the dog at lunch or after work so she was very hyper. Mrs Basil took her out at about half 8 so hopefully she’ll soon settle down. Have been cooking healthy meat free dinners this week and they’ve all been rubbish.

The heat wave commeth. Was dog sitting a chocolate lab called Max. Scout was her usual possessive self. Took them to the pub because I knew it would be quiet, they were both pretty well behaved.
