Lazy day. Mrs Basil dealt with the dog walking. I finally got chance to play with my lock picking kit. Opened a padlock a few times but more through brute force than finesse. Will need a lot of practice if I want it to be a real hobby.

A work day of 2 halves. 50% annoying testing problems. 50% fixing some code that’s bothered me for a long time. It wasn’t particularly warm, but a sunny Friday meant a Dog Club pub meetup.

Mrs Basil took the dog out for another social walk this morning so I enjoyed the peace and quiet. A food shop after lunch. I also finally put up a washing line in our garden … Only took 5 years.

Spent the morning looking after the dog in the garden while Mrs Basil went car shopping. She’s decided she wants to get rid of her Clio… It’s going to be expensive but there we are. The dog was being weird all day whining and fussing. Very much getting on my nerves.

Mrs Basil spent the morning looking at potential offices to move to because she’s gonna need to move again. And she finally took her car to get the wheel arch scrape resprayed.

Lovely sunny morning walking the dog. Went with Mrs Basil to test drive a car then headed to meet a friend for a few pints. Turns out his father in-law had been diagnosed with Sporadic CJD which is utterly brutal.
