First reasonably productive day at work in what feels like forever. Mrs Basil wanted scout to be an extra in her film so I finished early and got on the bus at 3pm. She messaged me at 15:10 to tell me not to bother. Given I was at the point of no return, I went to the pub instead.

Another ok day at work, found out how to do something new, which is always good. Went to vote after work then went for a pint. Exit poll shows massive Labour landslide as expected. Unfortunately it seems mostly because about 20% of the country don’t think the Tories are quite racist enough.

Day of rest for everyone. Mrs Basil had a headache so an afternoon nap. I watched the grand départ then went to the pub.

More good progress at work today. Pleased with test framework I’m building. The lead dev is off next week so something is bound to go to shit. Went to the pub with dog club while Mrs Basil was on her way back from her work day trip to London.

Spent the early afternoon having Sunday lunch in my hometown for a mates 40th birthday. It was a long lime to leave the dog but decided against taking her with us.

Went to the theatre with Mrs Basil today. It was dull as toast, but thankfully she enjoyed it. We had to keep taking refuge on the way home because there was a hail storm… In July. England carried on their limp through the Euros into the semi finals.
