Feeling pretty rough today. Sore stomach and lack of sleep. Mrs Basil took the dog walking duties and we did a food shop. Rest of the day was trying to figure out if the washing machine was broken, turns out the drain pipe was partially blocked with a button.

Headache was quite bad overnight. Day off today, watched a bit of TV and had a lot of laundry to do after the machine had been out of commission. Made chicken with 40 garlic cloves for dinner and was underwhelmed. Headache was gone all day and returned late in the evening unfortunately.

Got an awkward helpdesk ticket at work about the system “being slow”. Thankfully I can kick it to the lead Dev on the 2nd. We all went out to the pub after Mrs Basil got home and bumped into a couple that we know a little and had a serendipitous few drinks. Turkish takeaway and Lord of the rings after we got home. Scout is dealing with the fireworks quite well.
