Bit of a hectic return to work. Annoyingly I had the dog. I misread my calendar and completely missed a meeting while walking her and had to run home to make the next one.

Work was relatively bearable today. Mrs Basil had to work late so I had to walk the dog before making dinner. After apparently sleeping all day, she was a bit of a shit head all evening. Finished watching S1 of Fallout. It was pretty good fun.

Another day at work where I just couldn’t get to the thing I want to work on. A colleague told me they had applied for another job. It’s probably the best thing for them but I’ll miss them.

Trying to ignore work frustrations at the moment. There’s 2 projects hopefully coming to… not an end, but a milestone, and I’m so tired. The dog looks like she’s got an eye infection, might have to take her by the vet tomorrow, which she hates.

Yet another full on day. Have managed to give myself another task on the new SharePoint system. There was also the IT department meeting today where all the middle managers and the (yet another) new CTO waffled on for an hour. Walked the dog after work while Mrs Basil went for a run, then we had takeaway cheeseburgers.

Was able to get some tasks ticked off the to-do list fairly uninterrupted at work. A few awkward interludes but nothing too stressful. Took Scout to the vet. After telling them she had an eye infection and asking for some of the £5 drops, they looked at her eye, agreed it was an infection, gave me the £5 drops and charged me £80. Happy days.
