Mrs Basil’s parents arrived on Tyneside today. They came to our place for a few hours this evening and I cooked dinner. They’d had a very long day travelling so they didn’t stay long. The dog was a little bit of a pest, but not too bad.

Mrs Basil had to go into the office again today. So after the usual Sunday morning dog walk then collecting her from church, she headed off with the dog. I did some odd jobs, including the first grass cut of the year (always fun). This evening we went to the cinema to see civil war. It was good, but I had higher hopes.

Seems the dog had a restless night and had regurgitated some grass in the night. The work day really got away from me but finally made some progress late on. Dragged myself downstairs to cook after Mrs Basil got back with the dog at 7pm.

Very uneventful Monday. Slow but long day at work. Random hail storm in the middle of the afternoon. The dog didn’t get much of an evening walk so was a little unsettled.

A friend took the dog out for a long walk this morning while Mrs Basil spent the day with her mum. This evening we all went to a Sri Lankan restaurant. Mrs Basil was a little sad afterwards, she doesn’t see her parents often.

Mentally exhausting. Lots of time spent on a video call with the tester writing new test cases. My brain is mush. Scout didn’t start to settle until after 9pm. Probably more of the same tomorrow. Feel like I could sleep for a thousand years.
